On-Site Engraving
Live engraving adds a unique touch to events by providing personal interaction with your attendees.
Guests leave with both a gift and a memorable experience; they will love seeing their keepsakes personalized in front of them. Freehand engraving is very versatile and allows for engraving on a wider variety of items with more placement options than laser engraving equipment.

Popular Items to Engrave
- Glass: wine bottles, liquor bottles, wine glasses, champagne flutes, perfume & cologne bottles, candle holders, cosmetic containers, skincare bottles
- Ceramic/Porcelain: coffee mugs, Christmas ornaments, platters, candle jars, teapots, ring dishes
- Metal: water bottles, Yeti tumblers, make-up brushes, dog & cat tags, cake serving sets, watches
- Stone: marble, agate slices, granite tiles, coasters, smooth rocks & stones
- Acrylic: some acrylic/plastic items can be engraved, but I have to judge based on the material – some lipstick, compact mirrors, and skincare bottles have worked in the past
- Leather: I can personalize leather and some leather-like surfaces using a heat debossing tool/hot foil tool; great for wallets, journals, bookmarks, luggage tags, passport cases, padfolios, watch straps, and bags
- Wood: I can engrave wood using a wood-burning tool; great for cutting boards, charcuterie boards, wooden spatulas, spoons, and boxes. Some wood can be engraved, but I have to judge that based on material.
On-Site Personalization Events FAQs
*Required: test-run of personalization method on event materials before the event date*
Event Timing
Live engravers can complete about 30 items per hour. Timing is dependent on the personalization method, complexity, materials, and event flow. I work with you to ensure my services are being offered in the best way and to accommodate guests to the best of my ability. In some cases, I may be able to help with hiring a second on-site artist to work with me for larger events.
Requests
There are several methods of collecting personalization requests from event guests ranging from a QR code submission system for inputing requests online throughout the event, to filling out sheets of paper, pre-submitted requests, helpers collecting information, or a mix of several methods. Certain methods work better certain events, and I will help customize each one for your needs.
Work Space
A table and chair are necessary for on-site engravers. Enough space is needed to work as well as ample room for the completed items to be collected and available for pick-up. Adequate lighting and a power source nearby are preferred, but not essential if that’s difficult for the location. My equipment is rechargeable, and I can bring wireless lighting if needed.
Process
Please contact me for availability via the form below. If I’m available and you’d like to proceed with hiring my services, I request a $250 deposit and a signed contract to reserve your spot on my calendar. The remaining amount is due within 1 week of your event. I have an event rate minimum of $800 for up to four hours; contact me for a custom quote for longer events.
