Calligraphy Family Tree

Whether it’s one side of the family or both sides, I can create a family tree for your history. I specialize in using a genealogy fan chart format for family trees. However, more traditional line-based layouts are also possible, and there are examples of both formats in the gallery.
There are two main family tree fan chart layout options (examples – pictures 1 & 2) :
- One side of the family: creates a half-moon shape and the paper size is usually 16×20″ (depending on # of names/generations)
- Two-sided family tree: both sides connect to create a full circle layout, the paper size is 20×20″ – 40×40″(depending on # of names/generations)
The possibilities for traditional line-based layouts are endless (picture examples 3 & 5). I work with the names and information provided to create a layout that is both logical and visually appealing.

Description
The paper and ink used are archival quality, so your family tree will last for generations.
CUSTOM: Once purchased, I will contact you with a spreadsheet to fill out for your family names and dates. If you already have the information formatted electronically, I can usually use what you already have. I write everything as it is provided, so please double-check spelling, capitalization, and dates. You will receive a digital layout proof of the family tree to approve before I finalize it with ink and calligraphy.
TIMELINE: Each family tree is entirely written by hand in calligraphy, please give at least three weeks from the date of my receiving the final spreadsheet to when the family tree is complete and ready for pickup/delivery.
SHIPPING: For family trees up to 20″, I ship the family trees flat and in very sturdy packaging to prohibit bending and damage to the corners. For sizes over 20″, the family tree is shipped rolled in sturdy tube packaging. Local buyers to Rochester, NY who wish to do free pickup, select ‘local pickup’ at checkout.
